Highfield Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering or Manufacturing

Overview and Benefits

The supervisor has a major role in reducing the risk of food poisoning and other contaminants in food, and supporting the business in meeting its legal requirements for food safety. This three day course is suitable for those working in catering or food manufacturing, and designed to motivate the supervisor to think and behave in a manner that delivers high standards of food safety. The candidate will gain knowledge and skills relating to the supervisor's role at all stages of food production and be able to provide examples of effective supervisory management.

 

This course will enable supervisors to promote a positive food safety culture and protect the food business operator's reputation.

Assessment Method

 

You can choose either a catering or food manufacturing examination paper.  The assessment method for this qualification is a 90 minute multiple-choice examination, consisting of 45 questions. To pass the candidate must correctly answer 27 questions or more. A distinction will be awarded for 34 or more questions answered correctly.

 

Highfield examination papers are also available in Polish.

 

Option 1: Open Course

Enrol onto one of our open courses and meet other candidates working in catering or manufacturing establishments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Option 2: Onsite Course

You can save money by booking an onsite course at your premises or chosen venue. The cost is £1295, plus £55 per person for examination fee. Prices start at less than £145 per person, plus VAT.

 

 

 

 

 

Option 3: Blended Learning

This course is also available via blended learning with only 1 day in the classroom. Detailed guidance notes, revision questions and textbook are provided. You will also have access to designated tutor during your studies.The cost for this option is only £375, plus VAT
