RSPH Level 4 Award in HACCP Management for Manufacturing

Overview and Benefits


Food businesses are required by law to implement and effectively maintain a food safety management system based on the principles of HACCP. Regulation No 852/2004 also requires those responsible for the development and maintenance of HACCP systems to have received adequate training in the application of its principles. This 5 day accredited course (QCF) is aimed at supervisors, managers, owners and anyone else responsible for HACCP.  Candidates will gain a practical understanding of HACCP based on industry best practical, current legislation and real-life case studies.

Assessment Method


The examination will consist of two papers: paper A will consist of nine questions, which have to be answered in 120 minutes; paper B will consist of a case study (six questions) to be completed in 90 minutes.  To pass the candidate must achieve a minimum of 50% in both papers. Candidates who attain a mark of 80% or greater in both examination papers will be awarded a distinction.
