Globalisation, social responsibility and legislation places an increasing need for Managers to understand how to manage equality and diversity in the workplace. An inclusive workplace and customer focus is good for business with motivated and productive employees, and customers who feel their needs and wants and being met.


This one day course provides the candidate with an overview of the Equality Act 2010 and confidence to understand and deal with issues relating to discriminatory behaviours in the workplace.  The candidate will review how successful organisations manage an inclusive workplace and what happens when thing go wrong.

  • The concepts of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace
  • An overview of the Equality Act 2010: protected characteristics and legal compliance for employers and employees
  • How and when discrimination could occur in the workplace
  • How to challenge and resolve discriminatory employee behaviour
  • Making reasonable adjustments to promote equality, diversity inclusion
  • Equality and diversity policy in practice: communication, monitoring and evaluation
  • Equality and diversity assessment and action plan  



Assessment Methods


There is no formal assessment for this course.




This course can be delivered on site at your premises for up to 15 candidates is only £545,plus £25 per person. Average cost per person is only £61 on a course with 15 candidates. Course fee includes comprehensive textbook on equality and diversity, training materials and certificate of attendance.
